There is NO steel mill this week due to the mandatory dead period for the coaches clinic. Players should continue to:
Workout at home (conditioning and weights if possible)
Drink PLENTY of WATER - stay hydrated
Watch film (if you have HUDL access)
Steel Mill returns 7/26. Players new to steel mill MUST have all paperwork completed on www.DragonFlyMax.com before they can participate in workouts. Football Club Meeting THIS WEDNESDAY 6:30pm @ Compass Rose
We will have our first football club meeting this Wednesday at 6:30pm at Compass Rose Brewery (3201 Northside Dr #101, Raleigh, NC 27615). This is an optional meeting open to all families and players. Coaches will be there to discuss the upcoming season, including tryouts and planned activities. We will have a few returning players there who can answer questions from the player perspective. This is a great way to get to know other families and the coaches.
Gatorade/Powerade & Snacks - We ask each family to provide a package of gatorade/powerade and a package of individually wrapped snacks for the season. You can either bring them to the football club meeting or to the next Steel Mill
Silent Auction Donations - We ask each family to contact local business to secure at least 1 item for our annual silent auction. If you have received a donation, you can bring it to the football club meeting.
CATS Camp - New Students Sign up for the FRIDAY 8/6 session For those who will be attending CATS camp, we ask that you SIGN UP FOR THE FRIDAY SESSION (8/6). CATS camp falls during tryouts. Players WILL come to TRYOUTS from 6-7:30am on 8/6 and then be dismissed for CATS camp. Players MUST participate in TRYOUTS prior to CATS camp. Players must get in enough hours/days in order to wear full gear for contact on the last day of tryouts on 8/7. We will have our annual silent auction as part of our kickoff event on 8/14. Please use the attached donation request letter with local businesses to ask for donations. Restaurant gift cards, concert tickets, sporting events tickets, vacation rentals, etc are always popular items. Once you have confirmed a donation, please let me know.
We ask each family to volunteer for at least 1-2 activities per season. This is a great way to get to know other families and to support the team. Please click HERE to access our team sign-up genius. We would like to have all spots filled by 8/14.
Concessions: JV parents volunteer for VARSITY concessions and Varsity parents volunteer for JV concessions. That way everyone gets to see their kids play
We still have a few recurring volunteer opportunities available. Let me know if you are interested in FILMING the JV or Varsity games or serving meals for JV or Varsity.
