Steel Mill Schedule Update for Thursday
Steel Mill for the OL/DL will end at 9am, not 8am
Steel Mill for those NOT participating in the 7 v 7 will end at 8am (unless you are OL/DL). Players can stay & watch 7v7 if they want (not required)
Parents can watch the 7 v 7 outside of the practice field fence if interested (8am-10am)
Help Wanted - Two different types of opportunities
We ask each family to volunteer for at least 1-2 events/activities per season. We understand that everyone has different availability to
help so we offer 2 different ways to volunteer.
Volunteer for 1 or 2 Events: CLICK HERE FOR OUR SIGN-UP GENIUS that includes a variety of opportunities for parents to volunteer. If you are able to sign up for more than 1 event, please do so. It takes all of us to make the season successful.
IMPORTANT: JV Parents will volunteer for VARSITY concessions and Varsity parents will volunteer for JV concessions. That way, parents can watch their players during their respective games.
The goal is to have ALL volunteer spots filled by our kickoff event on 8/14
Ongoing Volunteering: Email me if you are interested in volunteering for any of these opportunities that you would do on a regular basis.
JV Film (1): Film every JV game from the press box
Varsity Film (1): Film every Varsity game (could be press box or end zone)
JV Meals (Thursdays 3-4:30): Help serve meals to players and coaches, clean-up. Can be every week, most weeks,
or as you can.
Varsity Meals (Fridays 2-3:30): Help serve meals to players and coaches, clean-up. Can be every week, most weeks, or as you can.
Football Club Meeting - Wednesday, July 21st at 6:30 pm AT Compass Rose Brewery
We will have our first in-person Football Club meeting of the season on Wednesday, July 21st at 6:30 pm at Compass Rose Brewery (3201 Northside Dr #101, Raleigh, NC 27615). During the meeting, we will discuss tryouts, the August schedule, kickoff event, and silent auction, and more.
All parents and players are welcome to attend (it is a family-friendly environment).
People always ask if players attend these meetings. Some do, most do not. They absolutely can. We will have a senior or two at this meeting to answer questions from the player's perspective.
Volunteering and participating in Football Club meetings are an excellent ways to get to know other families and the coaches.

VARSITY: All varsity players should purchase a POLO if they don't already have one. Players should purchase a t-shirt and shorts (any style).
JV: All JV players should purchase a t-shirt and shorts (any style)
Additional items needed for the season (but you don't have to buy through our team store): Cleats (black, navy, or white), white socks, girdle (we have a limited # that can be borrowed from the school if needed), mouthpiece
I often get asked if new players should order now or wait until tryouts. If you wait to order something from store #3 in August, it will NOT be available until at least October. We recommend ordering in store #2 (current store) so items come in by early September.
