Head Coach | Assistant Athletic Director
Coach Clarence Inscore has been on the Wildcat staff since 2001 and calls Raleigh home. A graduate of Guilford College, Inscore has coached in the Under Armour All-American Game and the East-West All-Star game. Having been named Conference Coach of the Year three times, he works to bring out the best in his players on and off the field. He recognizes the commitment football means for not just the players, but for their families, and he works to understand what each player brings to the field from a personal and athletic perspective. As head coach, he takes the role of leader and mentor seriously, for both his staff and his players.
We will prepare our players to be good employees, husbands, and fathers, by learning to be accountable, always giving their best efforts, and having positive attitudes.
Defensive Coordinator | Defensive Backs
The Wildcats welcomed Chris Bunting to the coaching staff in 2017. A graduate of Catawba College, Chris is a former head coach who brings his most recent experience of four years as a coordinator in SC. With 17 years of coaching experience, his football acumen is augmented by his past head coaching positions for track and wrestling. He was a past recipient of the NCHSAA's "Eight Who Make a Difference Award," and strives to make a difference for the Wildcats every day.

Offensive Line Coach
Coach Gunner joined the Wildcat staff in 2017. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Coach Gunner was a linebacker and fullback at Woodward High School there, where he was All-City and State. Gunner went on to play at Purdue as a lineman and guard, where he started for three years and played in three bowl games. During his time at Purdue, he was the Captain of the football team, a graduate assistant coach, and he received the Red Mackey Award. With IBM since the early 1980s, the company moved the Gunners to Raleigh soon after he started. He and his wife, Kathy, raised five children in the Raleigh area. Prior to joining the Wildcats, Gunner coached the O-Line and D-Line at Leesville Road HS and Central Catholic HS (in Indiana). He was also a coach with the Pop Warner North Raleigh Bulldogs, where he was part of a national championship team.
Linemen are a special breed, and I'm proud to be part of the fraternity!
