Head Coach | Assistant Athletic Director
Coach Clarence Inscore has been on the Wildcat staff since 2001 and calls Raleigh home. A graduate of Guilford College, Inscore has coached in the Under Armour All-American Game and the East-West All-Star game. Having been named Conference Coach of the Year three times, he works to bring out the best in his players on and off the field. He recognizes the commitment football means for not just the players, but for their families, and he works to understand what each player brings to the field from a personal and athletic perspective. As head coach, he takes the role of leader and mentor seriously, for both his staff and his players.
We will prepare our players to be good employees, husbands, and fathers, by learning to be accountable, always giving their best efforts, and having positive attitudes.
Defensive Coordinator | Defensive Backs
The Wildcats welcomed Chris Bunting to the coaching staff in 2017. A graduate of Catawba College, Chris is a former head coach who brings his most recent experience of four years as a coordinator in SC. With 17 years of coaching experience, his football acumen is augmented by his past head coaching positions for track and wrestling. He was a past recipient of the NCHSAA's "Eight Who Make a Difference Award," and strives to make a difference for the Wildcats every day.

Head JV Coach/Wide Receivers
Since 2008, Coach Bunting has been a fixture at Millbrook, originally working at the school while also coaching. After leaving Millbrook, Coach Bunting continued as JV Head Coach, Associate Head Coach, and Wide Receivers Coach. A three-sport athlete at West Montgomery High School in Mt. Gilead, NC, he went on to wrestle at UNC-Greensboro before graduating from UNC-Pembroke. When not coaching, he's either outdoors or watching sports with his rescue dogs, Rhett and Bain.
Defensive Line Coach
After nine years at TC Williams High School in northern Virginia, Coach Cortright began coaching football at Millbrook in 2017. In addition to being the defensive line coach for football, he's the head women's basketball coach. Originally from western New York, Coach Cortright moved to Virginia in 2005, then farther south to North Carolina in 2013. He's been a PE teacher for 16 years, and served in the United States Navy as a Seabee for eight years. When he's not coaching, he enjoys time with his daughter Ava, son Daniel, and wife Catherine, who is also a teacher at Millbrook.
Offensive Line Coach
With 15 years of coaching experience, Coach Jenks has a 42-25 record as a head coach, including conference championships at South Johnston and Clayton. Twice named Coach of the Year, he had 40 players hit the gridiron in college in six years of head coaching. Originally from Wake Forest, he played offensive line as a student at Elon. When he's not coaching, he enjoys time with his family: wife, Betsy, and daughters, Ava and Claire.
Coach Newby begain coaching in 2006, and joined the staff at Millbrook in 2019. After graduating from Central Oklahoma University, he moved to Raleigh where he met and married Melissa. Together they have two boys, Bennett and Nash. When he's not coaching, Coach Newby loves being with his friends and family, as well as watching sports, playing golf, and grilling out.
A 2002 graduate of Millbrook, Coach Pretzel started coaching high school football in 2019. Originally from Raleigh, he enjoys playing sports and being outdoors. Even his favorite movie is football-related: Rudy.
Coach Vereen joined the Wildcats in 2021 with a wealth of coaching experience, most recently as the Head Football Coach for five years at Creek Bridge High School in Marion, SC. In his hometown of Mullins, SC, he spent 35 years as the defensive coach for varsity football and was the JV football coach for three years. Over the years, he also spent time in multiple coaching capacities for both girls and boys basketball at the JV and varsity levels. When he's not coaching, Coach Vereen enjoys action movies, Scrabble, or traveling and eating with his family (especially his favorites, fish and shrimp).
